thermal well-being is one of the most important parameters for all who spend most of their lives inside buildings. It can be easily achieved by means of ceiling radiant heating and cooling, which is also the most energy-efficient and at the same time the most comfortable way of heating.

And how does that work, actually?

The principle of radiation is basically the same as for the thermal effect of the sun: direct sunlight is perceived pleasantly warm even in winter with cold ambient air. Electromagnetic waves of solar radiation pass through the air without energy losses, this energy changes to heat only when in contact with the human body. Ceiling radiant heating uses exactly this natural principle, only it is heated with warm water. Thanks to this, ceiling heating installed even at a height of, for example, 30 meters can provide pleasant heat up to the ground. All this with a great deal of heat energy savings and a significant reduction in operating costs.

In normal heating, heated air rises upwards, when ceiling heating is used, heat is generated where heat radiation hits, i.e. on the floor, the surface of the human body and objects around us. This makes the temperature distribution more even throughout the height of the space and the energy consumption significantly lower. With radiant heating, people feel the room temperature up to 3ºC higher. This guarantees a pleasant feeling of warmth despite the lower room temperature, and heating costs can still be saved by up to 45% of energy costs.

Cooling in the summer months then uses cold water, which creates a layer of cold air at the ceiling. The person and objects in the room radiate heat due to their higher temperature, and the warm air in the room rises up to the ceiling, where it passs the heat to the cooling ceiling panels. The cooled air naturally descends back into the room.  In addition, compared to conventional air conditioning equipment, the operation is not associated with the emergence of strong airflow, the user in the room is not bothered by unpleasant drafts, the indoor environment is more comfortable.
